Strategic Plan 2012-2017

The mission of the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition (the NCBDN) is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of North Carolina from harmful nutrition practice by providing for the licensure and regulation of persons engaged in the practice of dietetics/nutrition and by establishing educational standards for those persons.

In 2011, the North Carolina Board of Dietetics undertook the task of developing a 5-year strategic plan – the roadmap that will guide this Board over the next five years. Keeping its mission at the forefront of every meeting, work session and discussion, the Board finalized and approved this Strategic Plan on August 20, 2012. The NCBDN’s Strategic Plan has been reviewed annually since its adoption and was amended on April 15, 2013, July 21, 2014, June 15, 2015, and October 17, 2016.
