Question:

What are the penalties for violations of the law?

Answer:

The Board may seek an injunction to stop the activities of an unlicensed person who is practicing dietetics/nutrition illegally under the Dietetics Practice Act. In addition, practicing without a license is a misdemeanor crime. The Board may refuse to issue, suspend, revoke, or impose probationary conditions upon the licensee who violates the standards set in the statutes and rules.
